My research focused on searching whether sulphur dioxide from factory and road emissions affect fruticose lichens species in Luxembourg. By doing a belt transect with 100 meter intervals for 1 kilometer as well as measuring abiotic factors and height and diameter, I then did a statistical test to confirmy my hypothesis that pollution has an effect on fruticose lichen species. Statistical tests suggested that there is a significant decrease in fruticose lichens closer to polluted areas.
