Fabrication and Analysis of a YAG Silica Fiber

One most efficient gain media in solid-state lasers is the crystal YAG doped with Nd. But fabricating an Nd:YAG optical fiber has proven to be particularly challenging because of thermal expansion and diffusion. The aim of this study was to fabricate an Nd:YAG silica fiber with a majority content of YAG in the fiber’s core to subsequently utilize the fiber …

Antibodies targeting transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 as potential drug candidates for the treatment of chronic pain

Chronic pain is a major global health problem. The drugs that are currently used to treat the condition have limitations, such as side effects and insufficient pain relief. Therefore, research is underway to develop therapeutic antibodies that can target pain receptors. One receptor that has been of great interest for its involvement in chronic pain is transient receptor potential vanilloid …

The Aluminium Complex’s Ability to Bind Phosphorus in Acidic Conditions

Eutrophication poses threats to aquatic ecosystems, necessitating effective mitigation methods. This study has evaluated the efficacy of aluminium treatment in reducing eutrophication under acidic conditions in various water bodies using spectrophotometry and gravimetry. Results indicate a correlation between increased precipitation mass and reduced orthophosphate levels at higher pH. This correlation is due to pH-dependent equilibrium reactions. Acidification below pH 5.7 …
