This project is a multiyear study undertaken over 3 years (’20, ’21, ’22), encompassing the opinions of over 2,500 students and 220 teachers on the impact of secondary school on students’ social development, physical health and mental wellbeing and outlining possible improvements to the education system. Also considered was the impact of COVID-19 on the mentioned areas and also Online Learning. We investigated how each of these key areas influences a student’s school experience and the optimisation of the student experience is vital in strengthening the value that students reap from their time in school. Many of our key findings present key opportunities for growth and improvement within the education system.
