As you may know, a lot of people around the world are deaf or mute, almost all of them speak sign language and our project is to help them in the best way possible without any restriction. To achieve that, we made a glove that gives us values when you bend a finger and when you move the hand. For that we used flex sensors that change the resistance when they are bent and an accelerometer to know how the hand moves. For now, we can translate the alphabet of the Belgian sign language but our goal is to translate the whole Belgian sign language and in the future every other language step by step. We also aim to make an application for everyone to be able to personalize their way of speaking sign language.
